The second edition of "Who Killed the Cock Robins?",
the comprehensive history of Croydon Common is now available. This greatly expanded edition is a laminated hardback book,
comprising 260 pages printed on 115 gm slightly glossy paper. It contains:

details of the club’s formation, its amateur years and its conversion to
professional status;

separate narrative chapters covering each of the club’s eight professional
seasons, along with every league and cup result, line-ups, scorers and
league tables;

the story of the club’s eventual demise;

numerous photographs throughout, including photographs of more than 100
players;

detailed biographies of 130 players;

numerous cartoons from the local newspapers of the day;

details of the club’s grounds and managers;

numerous examples of the cigarette cards and
trade cards showing players who played for the club at some point in their
